Me And My Bowflex Treadclimber TC5000

My most important fitness tool is my Bowflex Treadclimber TC5000. For my entire life I hated the thought of any kind of exercise. Hence, probably the biggest reason I became so big.

When my revelation hit me, I decided that if I was serious about losing weight I was going to have to commit. Someone I knew suggested a treadclimber. So I began my search.

As I browsed through all the information available online and read reviews and testimonials for different products. It became apparent to me that I was going to need to spend more than I thought. Based on what other consumers were saying, a brand name was the way to go and Bowflex was at the top of the list.

Bowflex has several models of treadclimber to choose from starting at around $1600 and going up from there. I weighed (great choice of words) my options and decided to go for the Bowflex Treadclimber TC5000 at $2300. It had some great features, was backed by the Bowflex name, free shipping which saved me from hauling it home and the best part for me was the free financing offer.

Now if that is not commitment , nothing is, right? Well it sat on the living room floor for a week until I put it together. Procrastinating again. I remember clearly how my heart raced the first time I stepped on, and I had not even started yet. Just the idea of exercise, holy cow!

I won't even go into the embarassing details of my first several workouts. But I will tell you that I kept at it. And I gradually increased my workout times ( increasing from my initial 3 minute workout was quite monumental).

I fell into a routine that I actually looked forward to. Working out really motivated me to make healthier eating choices. I was actually amazed as the numbers on my scale went down and my clothes became to big. I could not believe that I was losing weight without a magic pill or a crazy fad diet.

The Bowflex Treadclimber is just one of the tools I use to achieve results and I certainly don't think you can't lose weight without it although I do think exercise of any kind is a key component to weight loss. My point is that I found something to focus on that helped me stay motivated and that is all you need. You may find your focus in a exercise video or the gym or walking with a buddy. Maybe even jumping rope which really burns calories. Just find something and start today, no more excuses.

Fit For Life

The word fitness means many thing to different people. But for me, fitness has become a way of life. Overweight all of my life, even as a kid, at the age of 42 it finally hit me that all the fad diets I tried and all the weight loss pills I tried didn't work because I was looking for a miracle.

About 6 months ago, Something finally clicked in my brain, and I understood for the first time in my life that if I wanted to to lose weight, and I have a lot to lose, that I needed to commit to changes that included getting in control of my eating and I needed to start doing some kind of exercise. I finally understood there was no quick fix to losing weight and all I needed to do was take it one day at a time and work hard.

I have lost over 50 pounds to date and I have a long way to go but I know I will get there and you will too.
